KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement offering condolences to the families of dozens killed in Istanbul airport attack and wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured.
KCK underlined that the massacre was perpetrated by ISIS but it was the AKP government that was actually responsible, saying; “Because of its Kurdish enmity, the AKP government was engaged in a dirty alliance that raised the ISIS and helped it grow stronger. In the same way it transformed Turkey into a war zone to sustain its ruling, the AKP government paved the way for the Istanbul massacre by overlooking the ISIS activities and massacres in Turkey. Even after this massacre, the government chose to use this mass killing as a means to continue and legitimize the Kurdish genocide instead of abandoning policies based on Kurdish enmity that caused the growth of ISIS and the massacres it perpetrates. The government has exposed that it will pursue the policy of using ISIS in any way possible as a means for Kurdish genocide. It is understood that the government will use the Istanbul massacre as a cover and escalate its genocidal attacks in Kurdistan territory. In short, the government wants to make use of this massacre to escalate the Kurdish genocide.”
KCK continued, stressing that the Kurdish people, democracy powers in Turkey, all the political powers in Europe and the world should stand against the Turkish state’s genocidal war against the Kurds under the guise of objection to ISIS and all other manners of terror. KCK suggested that all these circles should oppose Turkey trying to make them a party to its Kurdish genocide policy.
Describing the current conflict environment and the Istanbul massacre as a result of the fascist political coup staged on last year’s June 7 election, KCK remarked that Tayyip Erdoğan and the Palace Gladio dragged Turkey into today’s chaos atmosphere by obstructing the forming of a government and reflecting the election results as instability.
“After fueling chauvinism in the society, they have aimed to ground this policy on crushing the Kurdish Freedom Movement and perpetrating a Kurdish genocide on the basis of an alliance with anti-Kurdish circles.”
KCK emphasised that all the peoples of Turkey should see the results of the AKP government’s policy on the Middle East, Syria and ISIS that it pursues because of the Kurdish enmity it bears.
KCK called upon Turkey’s peoples to enhance the struggle against the AKP government that paves the way for today’s massacres and all other severe problems, and to relieve Turkey of policies based on Kurdish genocide.
