KCK denies allegations about disarmament

ANF, BEHDINAN — Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Political Committee has released a written statement denying allegations on alleged “disarmament of the Kurdish guerrilla movement”.

KCK Political Committee denied the news reported by Turkish media under the title of “negotiations” and “disarmament”, saying that; “The one-sided and single-centered reports by the Turkish media are completely grounded on disinformation and manipulation, and they reveal to what extend the AKP government is willing and sincere about the solution of the Kurdish problem. As we have stated earlier too, the Kurdish movement is currently holding no talks with any power, apart from the Imralı talks. The reports which claim that the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) will lay arms down in ten days are fabricated lies aimed at imposing a psychological warfare on the Kurdish movement and people.

KCK Political Committee also called attention to the recent developments in West Kurdistan and warned that the AKP government’s direct and indirect attacks on the Kurdish people in Rojava, Serêkaniyê, could lead to dangerous consequences. “The AKP government is waging a dirty war against the Kurdish people by arming gangs and sending them into Serêkaniyê via Ceylanpınar. In doing this, it aims to cause a war between Kurds and Arabs and to prevent the achievements of the Kurdish people as the main policy of deepening the war in the region. However, it is apparent that this policy will provide benefit for none of the Kurdish, Arabic and Turkish peoples”.

KCK Political Committee condemned the severe police attack on Kurdish people and BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) deputies during the demo staged in Viranşehir in solidarity with the people of Rojava two days ago.

The Committee ended its statement by calling on all Kurdish people to protest against AKP government’s imperial policies and to display solidarity with the people of Rojava.
