NEWSDESK, — Kurdish prisoners of PKK and PAJK case held in Turkey’s prisons launched an indefinite hunger strike on 12 September demanding lift of isolation on the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan and the use of Kurdish language in defence trails as well as in the public.

Today the hunger strike entered 54th day while not a single attempt is made on the side of Turkish government to meet the hunger strikers’ demands despite international appeal in solidarity with the calls of the strikers.

In a written statement released today the prisoners announced that from tomorrow 5th October 10,000 Kurdish prisoners will join the hunger strike.

On behalf of the prisoners of the PKK and PAJK, Deniz Kaya has released a written statement announcing the joining of 10,000 prisoners from tomorrow, while he applauded the solidarity campaigns outside prisons.

The Kurdish nation has stood up in an uprising and not a single power is able to hinder its path, said the statement and continued; we call upon our nation not to confine this uprising to few days. Every one should know that we are at the down of freedom and to encounter this fascist regime we should mount our campaign.
