Hunger strike launched in East Kurdistan in solitary with PKK and PAJK prisoners

NEWSDESK, — The PKK and PAJK prisoners have entered their 53rd day of hunger strike they launched demanding a lift of isolation on Ocalan and the use of Kurdish language in defence trials and in the public.

A number of Kurdish civil and political activists in East Kurdistan have staged a hunger strike in solidarity with the ongoing fast in North Kurdistan staged on 12 September.

According to our local correspondents a number of activists and students of Sine University launched a symbolic hunger strike on Friday which lasted for one day.

In support of the hunger strike launched by the PKK and PAJK prisoners held in Turkey’ prisons numerous campaigns and activities have been organised throughout the world.
