Maliki: Independent Kurdistan not unviable

NEWSDESK, — Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Maliki, in an interview with Iraqi news paper has expressed his concern over the rapid regional political changes, particularly in the Kurdish areas, Cawder reports.

Maliki said” the establishment of an independent Kurdistan is not far from true either in north Iraq, in south Turkey or north Syria”.

Maliki also blamed Turkey for not complying with political obligation and dealing with north Iraq separately, arguing it has negative effect for both sides emboldening the Kurds to push forward.
