Meriwan jungles at risk of annihilation

atash-mariwanMERIWAN, –Woodlands of Meriwan city is in fire flames all over again and there is the risk of their total destruction.

100 hectares of jungles around villages of Terxanawa, Berqoro, Resdi and Basmax have been burned in fire. Since the beginning of 2012, 78 cases of fire have been reported only in the city of Meriwan and jungles around village of Sewllawa.

Political analysts believe that these woodlands are set in fire deliberately by the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) with the aim of depriving the Kurdish guerrillas of the natural shelters.
