ŞEMZINAN, — In the 15th day of controlling the strategic zones of Şemzinan by HPG (People’s Defence Forces), the Kurdish guerrillas launched simultaneous attacks on 19 military outposts in Chele and Sert regions last night, killing more than 100 militaries.
The Turkish military officials have claimed that only 12 soldiers were killed and 26 others were injured, while the HPG Press and Communication Office claimed that more than 100 militaries have been killed.
Seven Kurdish guerrillas also lost their lives in those skirmishes, the HPG said in a statement.
Turkish authorities tend to hide the correct figures of casualties to deceive the public for the continuation of bloodshed in Kurdistan.
According to HPG statement such attacks were launched in response to the strict isolation imposed on the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan and in the anniversary of the martyred guerrillas Arjin Gazan and Mahir Bashkala as well as the 15 female guerrillas who were mass-killed in Betlis.
