LICE, — Three Turkish militaries including Lice Gendarmerie Commander and one specialist sergeant, were killed in Lice district of Amed.
Three Turkish militaries were killed mid a bomb explosion on the Lice-Kulp main road on early Monday morning, local sources reported.
Among the Turkish soldiers taking part in an operation in the area, three were reportedly wounded in the explosion and died on the way to hospital. Military units were sent to the area soon after the explosion.
One other explosion occurred early on Monday morning during the passing of a military convoy 15 kilometers away from Yuksekova district of Colemerg.
Two soldiers who were wounded in the explosion have been taken under treatment in Yuksekova State Hospital. The main road was closed to traffic and mine hunting works were started in the area after the explosion.
A wide range air supported operation was launched in the region where soldiers have been transferred with Skorsky and Cobra type helicopters.
Separately, a bomb attack was launched in Ofis Neighborhood in Silopi district of Şirnak late on Sunday evening. No reports have been received as to casualties of the bomb attack after which a large number of armed vehicles and police units were sent to the scene.
