TEHRAN, — Sediq Kebudwend the founder of Kurdistan Human Rights Organization who have been on hunger strike was taken to hospital.
Mr. Kebudwend for the second time launched a hunger strike to gain permission to visit his ill child. In the 19th day of his hunger strike he was taken to hospital for his health had failed him.
The founder of Kurdistan Human Right Organization suffers from prostate. Although the prison’s medical doctors had warned about his poor health, their calls went unheeded.
In a letter written in 15 May Sediq Kebudwend requested from the prison officials a permission to visit his ill child, but he was turned down. He launched a hunger strike in the hope of gaining the permission.
Sediq Kebudwend was tried in 2008 and sentenced to 11 years for establishing Kurdistan Human Rights Organization and charged with acting against national security.
