300 kolbers launched a strike

kasbkar.16XANE, — More than 300 Kurdish kolbers (back carriers) who ferry goods across the pseudo-borders of Kurdistan launched a strike, on Haji-Omran zone of Xane city, to protest against the laws preventing them from making the living, local sources reported.

Local sources reported the strike of more than 300 Kurdish kolbers who blocked the way from Haji-Omeran to Xane in an attempt to shed light on their plight.

The strike is reportedly launched against the decree enforced by new mayor of Xane, according to which the kolbers are prevented from ferrying numerous commodities including clothes.

The lives of the Kurdish kolbers are closely tied with the commodities they ferry across the borders, which is now prohibited for transporting by the new mayor of Xane city.
