NEWSDESK, — At the second anniversary of the tragedy of 9 May in which five political activists were executed, KJB (Koma Jinen Blind) commemorated martyrs Ferzad Kemangir, Shirin Elemholi, Ferhad Wekili and Eli Heyderiyan.
The KJB statement condemned the execution of Kurdish political activists on 9 May 2010 on the charge of “membership in an illegal organisation”, or Moharebe meaning “enmity with God”.
“We promise to continue the struggle of our comrades who displayed an honorable resistance for the Kurdistan national struggle for freedom. Unprecedented severe implementations and death sentences have been imposed on the Kurdish freedom movement as a result of common agreements of Iranian and Turkish states which, like other dominant nation states on Kurdistan, have killed and slaughtered the Kurdish people for centuries for the slightest spark of freedom they generated in their lands”, said the KJB statement.
The KJB called on all Kurdish people to display their power in all areas on the basis of a common struggle against the inhumane implementations of the Iranian regime.
One other commemoration statement for executed Kurdish political prisoners was made by the International Association of Free Women which underlined that the Iranian regime should be tried for the inhumane crimes it has committed against humanity.
The statement of the Association pointed out that thousands of Kurdish and other political prisoners still face the threat of execution by the Iranian regime and called on international institutions and organizations to take the regime to the International Criminal Court.
