AMEDE, South Kurdistan, — Two people went to spend their day on the hillside in the vicinity of Amede city but the land mine exploded, instantly killed one and wounded another.
These mines were implanted by the former Iraqi yet not removed after a long period of time.
According to ministry of environment there are more than 25 million mines in Iraq and nearly half of them are in Kurdistan region.
