Intimidation of Kurdish families in Mako

MAKO, East Kurdistan, — The families of two Kurdish political activists who had to flee the country to save their lives are harassed and intimidated by the Iranian Security Forces.

According to Kurdistan Press Agency, two Kurdish political activists Faruq Hemmeti Cenikanlu and Ibrahim Ebdi had to flee the country after receiving constant threatening from the Iranian Intelligent Service and applied for asylum in one of the European countries.

The families of these activists are now harassed and intimidated by Mako Intelligent Service after they left the country.

It should be noted that these activists were arrested on 12 July 2011 for their alleged involvement in one of the Kurdish political parties. After spending a week of incarceration in solitary confinement they were released on the bail of 50 million toman each. After their release they left the country.
