IRAN, — In the run up to the parliamentary election due next week police have warned of not tolerating what they called ‘chaos’.
“The police are ready to prevent any chaos at the upcoming elections”, Chief of Iran’s police Ismayil Ahmadi Mogaddan said.
Mogaddan remarked that 8,500 members of Basij (state-militias) will be deployed to prevent what he called ‘trouble’. All the electoral districts are being monitored by police and security forces, he added.
Iran has already begun blocking Internet Services in the hope of shutting off the Iranians from the rest of the world on line.
