CIZIRE, — Turkish police attacked the crowd of people attending the funeral of PKK member Neşirvan Yasinoglu on yesterday.
Yasinoglu’ bones were discovered in a mass grave in Dersim in July 2011. He was buried in Roboski and hundreds of people including Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives, mayors from the region and the Mesopotamian Association of Help and Solidarity for Families of Missing Persons (MEYA-DER) members attended his funeral.
On behalf of MEYA-DER, Medeni Aktar said; “The police’s attack in Cizire is a sign of the intolerance for the Kurds’ owning of their children. They shall indeed fear our persistent struggle.”
