HAKKARI, — Two Turkish soldiers were shot dead by unknown assailants in the southeaster city of Yuksekova, in the province of Hakkari on Tuesday, ANF reported.
It is understood that Spec. Sgt. Yahya Karakaya (27) and Spec. Sgt. Murat Kozanoglu (25) were killed in an armed attack, which took place on Nedim Zeydan Street in Yuksekova.
Apparently they were hit as they left their homes for work. The two were initially injured and immediately hospitalized, but doctors were unable to save them. A large-scale operation was launched after the attack.
