IMRALI PRISON, Turkey, — In his weekly visit of lawyers Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan stated that his negotiations with the Turkish state could have historical consequences.
“A chance must be given to a democratic constitutional solution as this is the last chance for negotiations as well… The period of a total war will begin and great trouble will arise if a democratic constitutional solution is not developed. That will be the time when words end. The present government or the one to be formed after the elections will have a time of few months to clarify their attitude. These months are the last chance for a democratic constitutional solution,” Ocalan said.
Kurdish national leader warned that a “war for protecting existence and ensuring freedom” will be brought to the agenda if the Kurdish problem is not resolved on a democratic basis.
