serok.apo81IMRALI PRISON, Turkey, — In his weekly meeting with his lawyers Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan spoke for the first time about his conversation with acclaimed Kurdish film director and Cannes Prize winner Yilmaz Guney.

Speaking about the tent acts, Ocalan said the followings; “The Democratic Solution Tent actions are democratic actions. The visits of intellectuals are also necessary and positive. Tent action is a civil and democratic action; it is a constitutional right that no one can go against. People can use their rights within the framework of democratic rights and continue the action without the need to stones and sticks. The President also says that it is a constitutional right, that they can continue the action within democratic rights. The government should not interfere in the actions but consider them within this scope. Otherwise, will it be better if the young die? We do not want anyone to die. We insist on a democratic solution to stop the deaths. The people will decide how long the tent actions will last. They can continue until obtaining a conclusion and a solution. They already express their four demands. These tents can change into democratic politics academy, enlighten our people there, hold discussions with the public and raise awareness about the games played and the policies implemented against people. The tents can become discussion and solution platforms. The tent platforms can change into public academies.”
