To the people of Kurdistan:
Unity among Kurdish forces and political factions has always been a primary demand of the Kurdish nation throughout the various phases of our national struggle. Unity among political actors can undoubtedly create greater opportunities and strength for our people’s movement, preventing the fragmentation and weakening of the Kurdish national political and social will.
In recent years, rapid and significant changes in the region have created a new opportunity for our nation to strengthen its foundations. Now is the time to promote understanding and cooperation among Kurdish parties, with the ultimate goal of achieving unity. Various individuals, institutions, groups and organisations have taken the initiative in this regard and submitted proposals. Amidst the escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel and the accelerating pace of regional transformation, there have been renewed calls for dialogue and collaboration among Kurdish parties. It is crucial that we recognise and support these efforts in order to address the demands of our people and align with the evolving needs of the current era.
Our party respects and values all such efforts and calls on all parties to engage seriously and positively with them. We have submitted our own proposals and remain open to discussions with other Kurdish groups to advance unity. We reaffirm our commitment to engaging in this important dialogue. As has been demonstrated in other regions of Kurdistan, achieving national unity among Kurdish factions is the most effective way forward for our collective struggle. Ultimately, achieving this unity is a necessary step that aligns with the principles of democracy and the spirit of modern-day pluralism. All parties have a responsibility to contribute to this process.
Our commitment is based on a firm belief and a strategic vision, rather than being merely a tactical move. Our statements and actions reflect this.
Most recently, the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) released a statement aimed at unifying Kurdish forces, particularly in Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhelat), with the ultimate goal of unifying the entire Kurdish region. As one of the most experienced organisations in facilitating collaboration and unity among Kurdish groups and individuals, the KNK has led many successful initiatives in this area.
We, the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), are fully ready to support all efforts in this direction and positively respond to the KNK’s recent call. We are prepared to mobilise our strength, capacities and resources in support of this initiative, and we stand ready to be active partners in the pursuit of Kurdish unity. We hope that this process will soon yield concrete results that will serve the interests of our people and all communities across the region.
