8 people executed in Iran

idamIRAN, — Eight people have been executed in the last two days in the provinces of Yazd and Kerman in Iran, report said today.

In a couple of occasions and only in a couple days, 8 people were executed in Iran.

The first group consisting of four people was executed in Yazd province.

Yazd’s High Court reported their charges as the “violation of virtue”. Such charges have not been confirmed by any independent sources.

According to the reports of the General Relations of Yazd Judiciary, the death sentences of three convicts were executed in public, in front of the Yazd’s General Detention, and one inside the prison.

Other sources reported the execution of another groups consisting of four detainees in Kerman General Prison.

The charge against this group is reported to be drug-trading.

214 people have been executed in Iran since the beginning of the year.
