KCK calls for solidarity with the democratic autonomy initiative
KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement calling upon all Kurdish people to embrace the democratic autonomy initiative and continue the struggle uninterruptedly until it is brought to a successful conclusion.
The statement underlined that civilians were being murdered every day on the basis of the AKP government and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s mindset to ‘do whatever is necessary, let it be women or children’, as Turkish troops continued suffering further blows in the hands of the guerrilla forces.
KCK pointed out that Turkish Prime Minister said in a brazen-faced manner that ‘our police and soldier killed no civilians’ while more and more civilians were being murdered by police and military forces every day. “In other words, the children, women, elderly and youths that resist the attacks of the Turkish state are not civilians in their point of view. According to this mindset, every single one who resists the Turkish state’s annihilation policy is a terrorist and must be killed. This is the very fascist and public enemy government our peoples are facing today.”
Urging the human rights organizations in Turkey and the world to immediately form a impartial delegation to expose who those murdered people are and to announce the outcomes to the public, KCK noted; “Such cruel and despicable political persons that killed numerous civilians and denied murdering any of them constitute an unprecedented sample around the world.”
Government declared a war against all democracy forces
Stressing that the government of Turkey has declared a war against not only the Kurdish people but also all democracy forces, KCK pointed to the importance of a joint struggle by democracy forces to defeat fascist forces and achieve democratization as is the case all around the world. KCK said the peoples and democracy forces of Turkey must therefore enhance the struggle all together and defeat those who want to establish an authoritarian and hegemonic new system in the country.
Let’s embrace the democratic autonomy initiative
The statement remarked that the Turkish state attacked the Kurdish people’s self-rule initiative for Turkey’s democratization with an aim to break the democratic will of the people.
Calling attention to the attacks on people with heavy weapons and massacre of civilians on daily basis, KCK recalled that four civilians were murdered, many others were wounded and a number of houses were demolished and burnt down as a result of attacks by Turkish forces with heavy weapons in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak several days ago. Most recently -KCK noted- the attacks have targeted Bismil and Sur districts of Amed, which left three civilians dead and many others wounded in Bismil.
Pointing to the ongoing attacks on Bismil people, KCK said in the face of this situation, all Kurdistan people should stand up and march to Bismil in solidarity with the people, just like the people of Cizre have recently done.
Stressing that no city or town should be left alone against these attacks, KCK said the attainment of Kurdish people’s freedom and democratic living can only be ensured by enhancing the struggle everywhere and embracing the democratic autonomy initiative.
Reminding that Amed People’s Initiative has called for solidarity with the people of Bismil and Sur, KCK said the people should act in accordance with this call and rise up everywhere.
KCK also called on the Kurdish people and democracy forces in all metropolitan cities, Istanbul in the first place, to stand by the resisting people of Bismil, Sur and other areas.
(Kurdistan Communities Union ended its statement by once again calling upon all Kurdish people to embrace the democratic autonomy initiative and continue the struggle uninterruptedly until it is brought to a successful conclusion.
