A Kurdish prisoner in Urmiye is at critical health condition with the possibility of losing his life.
According to Newroz TV, a Kurdish political prisoner by the name of Reza Resuli detained in Urmiye’s prison is suffering from a poor health condition where the bones in his feet had turned black, putting his life at risk.
Despite his health condition, judicial as well as prison officials are not allowing any treatment for his condition.
The injury was inflicted by intelligence department of Mahabad city due to excessive torture in a prison cell. According to a member of the prisoners family, the doctors estimated the cost of the treatment to be $30,000 and it requires the patient to be treated outside the prison.
It’s worth mentioning Reza Resuli was detained in mid-January 2013 in Mahabad city and was sentenced 30 years of imprisonment by Javad Kia, a judge of Mahabad’s court on attempts of disrupting national order’.
