The Kurdish shopkeeper was arrested in Urmiye city, because of having Kurdish name on his shop!
The Kurdish citizen from Urmiye city was arrested by Urmiye internal forces and sent to the prison in that city, because he did not want to change the Kurdish name on his shop to Azeri or Persian name.
According to the report of the Human Right Activists Centre (Harana) in Iran, Urmiye internal forces few times attacked on sweets shop last week, which is belong to a Kurdish citizen named Salam Ahmad. He was told that he must change his shop’s name which is a Kurdish name to Azeri or Persian.
The sweets shop was called Lawan. Recently it was closed down and the owner was arrested by Iranian security forces in Urmiye.
The excuse for the Kurdish citizen arrest was that, during the search on his shop, they found the image of Kurdish flag on his computer.
It worth to mention that after he was arrested, he was sent to the individual cell in the Iranian intelligent service’s prison, after two days he was sent to Urmiye prison.
