Sırrı Süreyya Önder the Nations’ Democratic Party’s MP (HDP) in Istanbul, mentioned their meeting with Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and announced that in this meeting, Öcalan pointed the Kurdish National Congress and said that If the Kurdish National Congress was held, the Shengal massacre would not have happened.
Öcalan’s message on peace process Önder said that Öcalan named this process until now the dialog stage and after the Turkish parliament’s policy about the process, he named the beginning of the negotiation stage. Öcalan pointed out that there is a truth of 90 years of hidden war in Turkey. Öcalan announced that it is important to agree and make thoughts closer to each other. What is more, he said that by the end of September the important dossier should be signed.
The Nations Democratic Party’s MP (HDP) revealed Öcalan’s thought about the ISIS’s attacks on the southern Kurdistan, and said that the ISIS’s attacks are not going to end just by military way. It is required by democratic suggestions and participating people in the self-defence forces. As this issue became a Middle East problem and it needs serious action.
At the end of the meeting Öcalan mentioned about how important the Kurdish National Congress and said that if it was seriously consider these massacres would not have happened. If the Kurdish National Congress was seriously and immediately held, also these national forces were established now we would not face these massacres.
