The Che Guevarist Youth Movement in Argentina has at its yearly congress announced Sakine Cansiz, Kurdish woman revolutionary killed in Paris last year, as its honorary president.

At its 10th congress in Buenos Aires recently the Movement declared Miguel Enriquez, the leader of Tupac Amaru, Mario Roberto Santucho, the leading person of Argentina Revolutionary Workers Party, Inti Pedro, the founder of Bolivia National Liberation Army and Sakine Cansız, one of the founding figures of PKK, as honorary co-presidents of the movement.

The posters of the leading revolutionary figures were raied in the congress hall as well as the flags of PKK, KCK, YPG and the posters of the Kurdish Leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

The Guevarist Youth Movement last year adopted Abdullah Ocalan as honorary president.

The movement said in a statement: “Comrade Sara (Sakine Cansiz) represents Kurdish women who are oppressed and exploited, but at the same time their rebellion in a revolutionary manner and their struggle.

Comrade Sara’s struggle goes far beyond Kurdistan and the Middle East and reaches us, setting the whole world an example. In this regard, it is a great honour for us that our congress of the Guevarist Youth Movement decides to have Sakine Cansiz as our co-president.”

The final resolution of the congress of the movement has also greeted the 15 August launching of the struggle by the PKK and called for the freedom of Kurdish Leader Abdullah Ocalan and all the political prisoners in Turkey.
