In the name of Freedom
At the eve of the fourth anniversary of May 9th martyrs, Farzad Kamangar, Farhad Vakili, Ali Heydarian, Shirin Alam Hooli and Mehdi Islamian, such cruel behaviours against humanity is condemned with the slogan of “the right of life and freedom cannot be denied from human life”.
The sovereign teacher whom became the symbol of resistance for liberty sacrificed his life for liberty and freedom without thinking about of reduction in his punishment by demanding forgiveness.
A teacher will stay a teacher even though with the existence of walls in between them and people. He teaches the lessons of eternal life using the prison walls instead of a whiteboard. Therefore, the day of his death becomes a day for teachers, a day for training liberty and educational liberty. This idea was welcomed by teachers, academics and public.
The martyred teacher Farzad asking “is it possible to be a teacher and while holding such a vital rule be silent whilst the rule of a teacher is spreading knowledge?! is it possible to not teach the alphabet of liberty!”. In this regards the Kamanger Foundation states crunching the way for enlightening mankind by teachers and academics such as Samad, Khan Ali, Ezzat, Kamangar and so on is very valuable and is honour for liberate teachers.
In spite of promises from the new Iranian governance, inhuman sentences from the Islamic Republic Judgment and security agencies are continually issued. The politics of Rouhani showing that by improving their international relations, the human rights are more denied in Iran and this is unfortunate the west marginalises human right problems and compensating them with the nuclear power negotiations.
Kamangar Foundation believes high statistics of executions from one side and public executions from another side leads to a norm in between people and this is a tragedy in our era in which can have strong negative effects on the peace and security of public. This is because violence only creates violence!
Therefore, we would like to invite all social and political activists along with academics, human right activists/organisations, and political parties to condemn this inhumanity with Unity and empathy and announce their support once more for political prisoners awaiting for their death execution and state “we are not allowing the right to live being taken away from liberate people”.
