Adnan Hasanpour
According to the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners Campaign, Adnan Hasanpour, the imprisoned journalist, was transferred on Thursday 23 January 2014 from the central prison of Sine (Sanandaj) to Meriwan prison.
The transfer of this journalist is accomplished while the Iranian state security and judicial authorities in Kurdistan, in addition, they prevented him of dismissal, they were denied him of his law meeting with his family and also the medical treatment outside of the prison.
On 25 January 2007 Adnan Hasanpour was arrested and after enduring several months of solitary confinement in Sine Intelligence Detention Centre, on 12 June 2007 was tried closed at Enghelab Court in Meriwan and was known as an enemy by acting against national security and was sentenced to the death penalty.
The verdict was announced to one of his lawyers on 17 July 2007. After a three-month of this sentence in Branch 32 of the Supreme Court, was studied and approved disbelief.
It’s effable that, after Hasanpour’s death sentence was verified, immediately his lawyers, “Saleh Nikbakht” and “Sirwan Houshmandi” by asking the Supreme Court returned again to restore the legal process and finally, this time in another branch of the Supreme Court, the death sentence was nullified.
After the announcement of the disqualification of the former trial and judge by lawyers, this time at Sine’s Enghelab Court on two occasions (7 September 2008 and 31 January 2009) this case was tried closed again and was sentenced to bear 31 years imprisonment and by the lawyers protesting in the Court of Appeal that sentence was commuted to 16 years.
Zanyar and Loqman Moradi
On 2 August 2009, Zanyar and Loqman Moradi, the Kurdish political prisoners that sentenced to death, were arrested by security forces in Meriwan and for 9 months have been under extreme psuchological and physical pressure and torture for fabricated confenssions in a detention center in Sine Intelligence Bureau Chiefs news.
After nearly 6 months, these two prisoners were transferred to the central prioson of Sine, and then they were transferred to ward 209. Then they were transferred to Rajaei-Shahr prison in Karaj.
According to the latest official reports of these two Kurdish political prisoners, at any given moment there is a possibility of their execution.
According to the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners Campaign, already these two Kurdish political prisoners’ cases have been assigned to the Criminal Court that previously was under Judge Salavati.
In this regard, one of these two prisoners’ cellmates that is in touch with the Campaign said: “Yesterday, the attorney representing that named Khoda Bakhsh visited the Rajaei-Shahr prison in Karaj. During the visit, Zanyar Moradi asked him about his case. Prison officials responded him that the case has been taken of Judge Salavati and has been assigned to the Criminal Court”.
On the other hand, some human rights activists and the family of these two prisoners believe in this file transfer doesn’t mean reconsideration at sentence of death penalty or restore hearing, also it has only the public aspect of the case. Perhaps they want to separate Zanyar and Loqman’s file in two files, one for the murdering of Imam Jome’s son at Criminal Court and the other for the war crimes through membership in one of the opposition parties at Enghelab Court.
They believe that both cases at Criminal Court and Enghelab Court have been done for the final execution of the death sentence for these prisoners.
Loqman Moradi and Zanyar Moradi were sentenced to death on charges through Komala Party and involvement in murder of Meriwan’s Imam Jome’s son in 2009 by Judge Salavati at Branch 15 of Enghelab Court in Tehran.
Yet these two Kurdish political prisoners after transferring to Rajaei-Shahr prison, in several “letters protesting” separate, were denied the assassinate of Imam Jome’s son and said that they have accepted the confessions that broadcasts by IRIB that happened by inhuman tortures by Ministry of Information.
In addition in these letters they disclosure the Security scenario and torture during the detention, they expressed that confessions which broadcast, were under duress, torture, forced and dictated by the Ministry of Information.
