12 Shinawe (Shin Abad) children with their families have to sit from three days ago in front of the Presidential Administration in protest against stopping their treatment due to non-payment of five billion toman by the Ministry of Education and Department of Health to the Moheb Hospital account also medical team, the student’s families says.
However, last week Dr Mahmud Reza Mohaghegh the executive vice for Ministry of Health and Medical Education had announced the commencement of treatment for affected Shinawe children from 20 December.
Because of their deep burns, treatment may be required for these students to five or six years and 10 to 13 surgeries, Dr Mohaghegh remarked.
Meanwhile, on Sunday 22 Dec, continuing to fire in the old schools in Kurdistan, one of the heaters of classroom in Taban School in the village of Kehrize Shexan (Mehabad functions) was fire when the school was closed.
Ibrahim Aminirad, the Education Manager of Mehabad said IRNA News Agency: neglect and carelessness of school officials to turn off the heater at the end of working hours has been causes of the incident in one of the classrooms.
Needed to be mentioned a year is spent on fire incident in Shinawe School, a village of Piranshar but it has not healed yet the wounds of the Shinawe Children. On Wednesday Dec 5th 2012, 38 children (10-12 years) were fire due to non-standard heating systems and fire heaters of class, consequently two of them died due to severe injuries.
On 9 Dec Seyran Yegane 10 years old, passed away in cause of severe burn of the lung also her classmate Sarya Resulzade 10 years old, was other victim who died resulting in damage to his respiratory tract and kidneys in Tabriz Hospital 28 Dec. 40 days after the incident, doctors were forced to amputate the fingers of three students in the accident due to the severity of the burn and organ transplant rejection.
These events occur when the education authorities announced “all heaters of schools are standard and safety”.
