ANF, ISTANBUL – According to Firat News Agency from Istanbul, tens thousand people are expected to join the rally Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) that is organizing in solidarity with the Rojava revolution in Istanbul’s Kadıköy district today.
The rally which will take place under the title “Rojava Revolution is a people’s revolution” will condemn the attacks against the oppressed circles and the Rojava revolution in western Kurdistan.
On the Protestors banner is written “Never not sunset your day the Rojava, Support the Rojava self-rule and Hello the Rojava Revolution”.
The rally will also be joined by Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairs Ertuğrul Kürkçü and Sebahat Tuncel, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Ahmet Türk and BDP co-chair Gültan Kışanak as well as all the components of the HDP and the HDK (Peoples’ Democratic Congress).
Speaking about the rally, HDP co-chair Sebahat Tuncel said the rally will give the message “we recognize and support the Rojava revolution” in response to the statements of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Massoud Barzani and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who have denied the Rojava revolution.
Tuncel called on everyone who recognizes the Rojava revolution and political status for Kurds and supports the demands of the people to gather at Kadıköy Square on Sunday.
