Iranian security forces attacked a group of Kolbers (people who carry goods across the border on their back) in a border area, around the city of Serdesht in Eastern Kurdistan and killed and wounded two brothers.
According to the NNS ROJ, Iranian security forces attacked “Qurban and Shorsh Sheixi”, two brothers, both Kolber, in Bitush, a border area around Serdesht.
According to this report, Qurban Sheixi was killed and Shoresh was severely injured in this attack.
It is worth to mention that at a similar incident, 4 Kurds including 3 brothers were killed and injured by Iranian security forces on July 3.
According to the local sources, one Kolbar named Nazdar Moradi, resident of Hancir Bose around Selas Bawecani was killed in the border area of Bayengan by Iranian security forces.
After hearing this incident, 2 brothers of this Kolbar and another person ran to help their brother in the area, but security forces located in the border post fired at them. At the result, Rizgar and Celal, 2 brothers of Nazdar, the victim, were severely wounded and Osman, their friend was killed.
Despite numerous condemnations by regional and International human rights organizations Iranian security forces still continue the killings of innocent Kurds in border areas of Eastern Kurdistan.
Ahmed Shaheed, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran in his report in March 2012, for the first time expressed his concern about the systematic killing of Kolbars (back carriers) and condemned these extrajudicial killings.
