NEWSDESK, — Russian presidency is reported to launch a comprehensive research on the Kurds to shed lights on the various facets of the Kurdish case including its future direction.
According to official site of Russian president, Vladimir Putin has asked the Research Institute of Presidency to undertake a coherent and multi-faceted research on the Kurdish issue.
The same source also revealed the Putin has invested one and half million dollars for the enterprise.
Research Institute of Presidency was established on 1932 aimed at launching researches on various issues of the world. It boasts a number of subsidiary branches including Strategic Research Centre on Middle East employing 67 professional academics and hundreds of researchers.
The experts on Russian internal affairs interpret the initiative taken by the Russian authority as part of an effort to re-impose its hegemony over the Middle East.
It was also seen as an attempt to approach the Kurds owing to the fact that they have become a major factor in the region with stabilising potential that could well be employed to that end.
