MERIWAN, — Iranian intelligence units have arrested 36 Kurdish citizens in Sawlawa district of Meriwan within 15 days, report said.
According to the local sources from Eastern Kurdistan, within the past 15 days 36 Kurdish citizens of Sawlawa district and its suburban villages have been arresting by the intelligent units on the charge of refusing conscription in the military services.
It must be mentioned that until the preparation of this news, there is no information about the fate of these detainees. Concern was raised over the probability that these people might be handed over to the Martial Court for trial.
It is worth to mention that according to the Section 2 Act 58 of executive statute of military law in Iran, if anyone does not go to the military service in the due time, he will be trialed in the Martial Court. Added to this would be 6 months extra-duty service.
