Cemil Bayik

Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Member Cemil Bayik, last week in his article in Azadiya Welat newspaper wrote about the previous ceasefires by PKK and the ongoing negotiations in Imrali prison with the leader of Kurd, Abdullah Ocalan.

According to this article:
The Kurdish liberation movement and leader Apo for many years have attempted to solve Kurdish question democratically. Since 1993, 8 times we declared unilateral ceasefire. But all were wrongly interpreted by Turkey and only tried to eliminate PKK and guerrilla forces.

Cemil Bayik about the Oslo negotiations for peaceful solution of Kurdish question wrote: the aim of Turkish government from this negotiation was to empower itself but not to solve the Kurdish question. Instead of taking step for solving the Kurdish question, they increased their political operations to eliminate Kurdish politicians and activists and meanwhile they increased military operations against PKK, in order to reach to a result.

Cemil Bayik emphasized that in 2012, all conspiracies of AKP were neutralized by heroic resistance of Kurdish nation, leader Apo and as well by inflicting heavy losses on Turkish army by guerrilla forces. As AKP government realized that in 2013 they would face more powerful resistance, they were compelled to start negotiations in Imrali.

Turkey sent its delegations to Imrali. But nothing has changed in their policy. The political and military operations are continued and psychological war is in its highest level. The murder in Paris happened and the situation of Ocalan has not been improved. In addition, they consistently have tried to discredit the Kurdish liberation movement, says KCK Executive Council Member.

It is clear that no attempt has been made for solving Kurdish question. The statements of Turkish government that says; disarm or leave Turkey are clear indications that Turkey does not have the intention to solve Kurdish question, Bayik says.
