SINE, — People in the city of Sine clashed with Iranian security forces, protesting to prevent the execution of a Kurdish prisoner by Iranian authorities.
According to the local sources from Eastern Kurdistan, on 23 January people of Sine gathered in protest in front of Sine prison to do not allow execution of Umer Shehbazi, a Kurdish prisoner that was sentenced to death by Iranian regime.
In this protest people demanded to remove the sentence of Umer Shehbazi. But after a while, around 200 hundred Iranian Special Forces attacked protesters. They used tear gas and batons to disperse people.
Several women were injured by Iranian security forces.
Because of this protest, the prosecutor of Sine had to delay the time for execution of Umer Shehbazi for one month later.
