Kurdish politicians including PJAK leader joined the hunger strike

BRUSSELS, Belgium, — Kurdish politicians from all parts of Kurdistan staged a hunger strike in a bid to draw attention to the indefinite hunger strike sustained by Kurdish prisoners in Turkey’s prison which has entered its 66 day today.

The European and international forums have kept silent in the face of the hunger strike sustained by Kurdish prisoners some of whom are in 66th day of their fast facing death.

The hunger strikers in Turkey’s prisons demand lift of isolation on the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan who has been denied of family and lawyers visits for last 16 months, and the use of mother tongue in the public and the court proceedings.

Extensive campaigns including rallies, protests and solidarity hunger strikes have been organised and conducted across the world to back up such a historic fast challenging the Turkish state.

Numbers of Kurdish well-known politicians including Haci Ehmedi the secretary general of Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) launched a solidarity hunger strike in Brussels.
