MAZANDARAN, Iran, — Kurdish students in Mazandaran University launched a day long hunger strike in solidarity with the indefinite hunger strike sustained by the Kurdish political prisoners in Turkey’s prison.
Solidarity campaigns around the world have been organised by the Kurdish people to support the ongoing hunger strike in Turkey’s prisons which has entered its 63rd day today.
Not only the Turkish government has not taken a single measure to met demands of the hunger strikers, but the Turkish Prime Minister threatened them with the possible return of execution.
Kurdish students in Mazandaran University in Iran articulated their backing for such a historic fast by staging a day long hunger strike urging Turkish government to yield with the demands of the hunger strikers.
