SULEMANI, South Kurdistan, — Massive solidarity campaigns with the Kurdish hunger strikers in Turkey’s prison have been going on throughout South Kurdistan. Turkish flags were burnt in Sulemani city.
A massive rally was organised in Sulemani city chanting slogans in support of the PKK and PAJK prisoners some of whom have entered their 55th day of hunger strike.
The protesters gathered in front of Sulemani University and marched through the city and ended outside Office of Kurdistan Regional Government’s Parliament.
The protesters read a declaration outside of this office where they burnt Turkish flags venting their anger and resentment against the symbol of colonial rule in Kurdistan.
