Kurdish politician Metin Aydin on hunger strike for 50 days

GENEVA, Switzerland, — Kurdish politician Metin Aydin who was arrested by Swiss police on 28 May 2011 on a request by German authorities, has been on hunger strike for the last 50 days, report said, and his is in a critical condition.

Medin Aydin launched a hunger strike 50 days ago to protest against the unfair approaches the European states have taken in respect to the Kurdish question.

Amid the continuation of the indefinite hunger strike staged by the PKK and PAJK prisoners which has entered its 47th day today, Metin Aydin announced he unites his fast from Swiss prison with the hunger strikers in Turkey’s prisons.

The visitors to Metin Aydin have said that he is in a serious heath state. He cannot talk in a normal pattern and his life is at imminent risk, they added.
