SINE, — To protest against the unprecedented rise in price of goods in Iran, thousands of Kurdish students in Sine University have launched a hunger strike.
In an interview with Kurd Press Agency a Kurdish student from Sine University confirmed that thousands of students from both Engineering and Literature Faculties have not attended the college canteen in protest against the unmanageable inflation that has plagued the country.
The same students pointed out that the hunger strike continued on Monday and despite refusing to eat, thousands of students marched to the Office of Representative of Guardians’ Jurisprudence in the university while chanting against the disordered situation the country is entangled with.
According to the local sources the students’ demands have not been met either by the university officials or by the government establishments. The students have reinstated they would keep their activities unless their demands are met.
