XANE, — A kolber from Mehabad was gunned down by the Iranian border guards on the road to Xane, a city in East of Kurdistan, report said today.
Kolbers are those workers toiling on the borders carrying goods on the backs in the harsh climate into the country to make living for their families. They have become one of the main victims of the Iranian discriminative policies toward the Kurds.
Another kolber named as Hejar Nebi Puriyan, 30 years of ages, from Mehabad city was killed on Xane border by the Iranian border guards.
Widespread unemployment in East Kurdistan has driven hundreds of youths to the borders ferrying goods often on their backs.
