PARIS, France, — In an interview with NTV the Turkish Prime Minster Erdogan grumbled; “There are some circles who do not want us to solve this issue. Germany and France do not want it. The leaders and the chiefs of the so-called terrorists move freely in these countries. The sources of their funds come from these countries.”
The countries Erdogan accuse of not “letting him to solve the issue”, have been supporting Turkish government in its bloody war in Kurdistan. These “democratic” states have closed down Kurdish TV stations. They attack the Kurdish communities and arrest the Kurdish community workers.
By labelling the PKK as a “terrorist” organisation, these countries have helped to block the peace process in Turkey and Kurdistan. But none of these anti-Kurdish approaches have satisfied Erdogan and he seems wanting European courts also to act similar to Turkish courts.
Hundreds of Kurds are arrested in France
French democracy does not work when it come to the case of the Kurdish people. Hundreds of Kurdish community workers and civil or political activists have been arrested by French authorities.
According to figure published by Firat News Agency, sine 2007, more than 200 Kurds have been arrested by French police and a Kurdish community centre was closed down in 2011.
Paris Ankara Pact against the PKK
Paris Ankara Pact signed in 2011 under the title of “collaboration against the PKK”, reflects the French complicity in the war of annihilation orchestrated against the Kurdish resistance movement led by the PKK.
