Iran takes a Kurd as hostage

NEWSDESK, — Following the arrest of an Iranian soldier by the Kurdish authority of South Kurdistan (Kurdistan Regional Government), the Iranian forces have in return taken a Kurd from South Kurdistan as hostage.

An Iranian soldier was arrested by Kurdish police in South Kurdistan few days ago while a brigade of Iranian forces was taking photos of the military buildings of Kurdistan Regional Government.

According to Hawlati news outlet, it was likely that the Iranian brigade was on the spying mission on the border of Xaniqin and investigation has been going on to shed more lights on the issue.

In exchange for the Iranian “suspected spy”, the Iranian forces have taken a Kurd, who is reported to be driver by profession, claiming they would not free him until the soldier is released.
