NEWSDESK, — Rehman Haci Ehmedi the general secretary of Kurdistan’s Free Life Party (PJAK) expressed his greeting of 15 August breakthrough, in which the Kurdish people in North Kurdistan rose up against colonial rules.
“Twenty eight years ago the Kurdish people revived again,” said Haci Ehmedi adding, “This people who came to life with a humane ideology, philosophy and culture, with sacrificing of some of its most honourable boys and girls have attained historic goals.”
Within his statement broadcasted in Newroz TV, the leader of PJAK regarded 15 August as a revolution and a new way of life, bravery and self-reliance.
Regarding the message the 15 August breakthrough has for the Kurds and the international community Haci Ehmedi observed; “The message inherent in 15 August was that the Kurdish people should stand on its own feet, because, not a single occupier would want or is capable of being friend with Kurds.”
Along his statement Haci Ehemedi said that Kurdistan is a distinct country and the Kurds are a distinctive nation too. “Even if a single part of Kurdistan is not liberated,” he said, “neither Kurdistan nor the Kurdish people could be regarded as free.”
The 15 August breakthrough was also a significant measure against racism, chauvinism, and nationalism. It served equality and friendship not only in the Middle East, with globally, he ended.
