Kurds make progress in liberating West Kurdistan

Syria-kurdsNEWSDESK, — Nearly two years ago Kurds in Syria (West Kurdistan) started to establish a democratic self-rule administrative system. People’s Council was established in all cities and towns to sort out the people’s issues.

The popular none-violence uprising of the Kurds instigated on 19 July in the city of Kobane and spread through the other cities of West Kurdistan.

Many Kurdish cities are now liberated and ruled evenly by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdish National Council (KNC).

The establishment of democratic self-rule in West Kurdistan coupled with the Kurdish forces hold on the Kurdish cities has sparked fears in the heart of the occupying power of Kurdistan.
