NEWSDESK, — In an article published on Yeni Ozgur Politika paper about the CHP-AKP meeting on the Kurdish question, Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council member Cemil Bayik said the meeting showed the usual policy of “trying to strain Kurds and making them surrender”.
Responding to Deputy Prime Minister’s statement “PKK will lay arms down”, Bayik underlined that “resistance is what should be expected from our movement in the face of the ongoing deadlock in the Kurdish problem and slaughter operations against the Kurdish people. It would be negligence not to display resistance in reply to each attack of the AKP”.
Remarking that the CHP-AKP meeting aimed at creating an expectation and recognition of AKP’s policies for political dominance and cultural slaughter, Bayik pointed out that the Kurdish problem cannot come up with a solution unless Kurds are recognized as a political entity and their democratic self-governance is accepted by the Turkish state.
Evaluating the Turkish state’s policy for the new term as a new form of the assimilation and destruction policy against Kurds, Bayik underlined that the demand for mother tongue education cannot be avoided by offering elective Kurdish courses at schools.
Calling attention to the state terror against the Kurdish people, Bayik added that “Enhancing resistance will be the only option against the AKP policies and its policy of eliminating Kurds.”
