SYRIA, — Syrian opposition leaders met again to appoint new leader for Syrian National Council, this comes after Burhan Ghaliyon resigned last month.
Abdulabaseet Siadah a Kurd by origin, who lives in Sweden lacking any sympathy for the Kurdish cause, became the new leader of SNC.
In an interview with ANF, Saleh Muslim the leader of Democratic Union Party (PYD) said, Saidah has no sympathy toward the Kurdish cause.
Basma Kurdmani a spokesman for the council highlighted the important of the neutrality for the candidate and the necessity to work freely not supporting one side only.
Abdulabaseet Saidah was born in 1956 in Amude city in Syria and lives in Sweden. He has been a member of the council and lacks any sympathy toward the Kurdish cause.
Analysts believe this move was made to bring the Kurds into opposition block, but many doubt the initiative owing to the fact Seidah has not presented any sympathy toward the Kurdish cause in the past.
