Gulperipur at imminent risk of execution

Hebib_golperiEAST KURDISTAN, — The life of two Kurdish political prisoners Hebibulla Gulperipur and Zeyneb Celalyan are at danger.

Mr Gulperipur was taken to intelligent detention centres of Simnan prison on 11th April and warned of carrying out his execution.

His family reported that they attempted to visit him on 10th April but refused by the prison officers.

The Intelligence Unit of Mehabad captured Mr Gulperipur on 26 September 2007. In a show trial lasting only five minutes, he was sentenced to death on the charge of working with one of the Kurdish political parties by the branch one of Mehabad Revolutionary Court on 15th March 2010.

The other Kurdish political prisoner Zeyneb Celalyan is at critical condition and was taken to the prison health centre on 12th April due to her serious situation.

Miss Celalyan is suffering from her kidney problems. Although, the prison officers have been informed by the doctor that she needs to be cured at hospital outside the prison several times, the prison officers have refused to let her to be transferred to hospital.

The Kurdish female political prisoner from the city of Mako was arrested by the Iranian Intelligent Service on 2010. She was sentenced to death at first trial on the charge of Moharebe, enemy with God, however, her sentence reduced to life imprisonment on January 2012.
