SINE, — A number of civil and political activists demand the revocation of death sentence imposed on Sherko Mearfi, a Kurdish political activist held in Sine prison.
In a letter written to the Head of Iranian Judiciary Sadeq Larijani, they have demanded to lift the sentence given to Mr Mearfi.
Sherko Mearfi is charged with membership in one of the Kurdish political parties and sentenced to death. He has been held in Sine prison awaiting his execution.
Efforts have been made by various different establishments to save him. This time these activists have written to Sadeq Larijani in a bid to save him.
