EAST KURDISTAN, — Newroz is celebrated by Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan and it was celebrated by Kurdish political prisoners in East of Kurdistan.
According to our correspondents, Kurdish political prisoners offered Newroz delight to all Kurdish people especially the family of the martyrs of Kurdistan.
The prisoners asked the families whose children are under the risk of execution to celebrate Kurdish New Year.
Newroz is the Kurdish New Year and marks the first day of spring which is usually occurs on March 21st. It is celebrated between 18 – 24 of March in almost all parts of Kurdistan and many areas Kurds are settled especially in European countries.
Newroz is considered as the most important festival in Kurdish culture and is a time for entertainment such as games, dancing, family gathering, preparing traditional foods and reading poets.
