Four Kurdish parties joined Syrian National Council

anjwmani-kurdi-syriaWEST KURDISTAN, — In an unexpected step four Kurdish political parties and seventeen youth organisations have contacted the Syrian National Council in a bit to form a national unity and to secure their rights in the post-Assad era, Hawlati reports.

The committee of the council announced that after several meetings which took place in the council’s initiation, four Kurdish political parties including Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria, Kurdish Union Party in Syria, Kurdish Future Movement in Syria and the Kurdish Popular Union have responded to the council positively and decided to work within the frame of the council.

Regarding to the operational committee, all parties will equally contribute to the final manifesto composition within each political party.

It is worth to notice that PYD (Democratic Union Party), one of the main parties which is close to the Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) has not been invited and remains outside the council.
